Rs 8 lacs funds raised by Popular Front and offered to the Tirupur (TN) Flood victims
Popular Front of India and Social Democratic Party of India swiftly swung into action and fielded their cadres at the flood affected areas at war footing to arrange basic amenities like food clothing and shelter.
Those People stranded on the streets, who belongs to the flood affected areas like Periya thottam, Qaede millath nagar and Sathya nagar Areas, were temporarily kept at nearby marriage hall. Delicious food has been served for them without waiting for the help from district administration was appreciated by all then.
Later on Friday November 18,2011, after the Juma Prayer Popular Front cadres stood outside the mosques of Tamilnadu holding placards and banners in their hands raised funds for the flood affected victims throughout the state.
During this first phase fund raising alone around eight lacs of Rupees were collected within few hours. The amount was handed over to the President V.K.M. Zakariya Hajiyar and other representatives of Tirupur United Jamath.
A.S.Ismail, Popular Front President, Mubarak pasha, Tirupur District President of Popular Front, Bashir, State executive committee member and SDPI District President M.Amanullah were present during this ceremony.
