SDPI delegation visits Gopalgarh, assures victims of help

New Delhi: Social Democratic Party of India delegation comprising of national leaders visited Gopalgarh in Bharatpur district of Rajastan where innocent Muslims were killed during Gujjar agitation last month. The delegation led by SDPI national president E Aboobacker assured the people of full help to bring the culprit before the law. E Aboobacker told the gathering at Anthwady near here that even after 10 years of anti Muslim genocide in Gujarat, chief minister Narendra Modi who led from the front was being traced by the law, thanks for the sincere efforts by human rights organisations and activists and honest officers in the police force. Modi who once felt all is safe and secure has now lost his sleep due to the court enquiries pending against him, he added.

Aboobacker also said that a community would remain slaves until and unless it regains its self confidence and courage. Our aim should not be to annihilate others. At the same time we have the right to die, not by the bullets and swords of our enemies, but with the greatness of martyrdom.

If only somebody is ready to attain this great form of death willfully in the fight for security and against injustice, we could survive as a society. Then there will be no place for the fear of communal clashes and other forms of rights violations, he added. He also said that all sections of the society should be empowered and should be ready to respect each other. SDPI delegation opined that five lakh compensation declared by the state government for the family of the deceased is not enough and demanded for its increase.

The leaders visited the house of Moulana Khurshid who was killed on September 14 during the clash. Khurshid was put on fire by miscreants after his tongue, genital and legs were severed.

The delegation accused the authorities for not taking actions against police and attackers responsible for the killings. SDPI national general secretary Hafiz Mansoor Khan, Ragastan prsident Hafiz Haneef, Mewat district president Moulana Qari Ismail, Hariyana co-coordinator Moulana Haneef Anwari also were as part of delegation.
